Noonan Syndrome
Noonan syndrome is a condition that affects multiple parts of the body. Some of the effects are seen in the face and some effects could be heart defects, bleeding problems, and skeletal malformations. Those who have Noonan Syndrome would have a deeper groove in between the nose and their mouth. Also, they also have a shorter stature. Their growth slows as they age and their hearts are defected in that they are narrowing inn the valve that controls the blood flow. Many bleeding disorders are associated with Noonan Syndrome but some are more excessive than others.
Noonan Syndrome has various different signs and symptoms, they however do not effect intelligence in children and adolescents. A small percent of these children have problems with their vision and hearing.
Noonan Syndrome effects 1 of 2,500 people and it is a condition inherited through genetics. When a copy of the altered gene in each cell is sufficient to cause disorders.
