Tissue Disease: Eczema

Eczema

Causes:  There are multiple causes of Eczema. The lack of moisture, genetic variation, skin protection, and irritation/ allergies lead to possible eczema.

Symptoms: symptoms of Eczema itching, dry skin, bumps, scaly. Severe forms of eczema can leave your skin bleeding and looking really flaky.

Treatment: Eczema is not a curable disorder; However, it is a treatable disease if followed by a proper skin care routine and moisturizing. Treatment should be consistent in order for the severity to lessen. Like any other skin disease, irritation and scratching can further damage more parts of the skin and the bacteria can spread.
Prognosis: Eczema is different for all people, for some it can be a lifetime skin disease, and for others it can go away with the proper care. The long term success for eczema is still up in the air. It is very likely that the symptoms will not be as severe, but the symptoms can lessen. Possible foods can trigger the disease to grow more and spread, so there are some foods to avoid such as dairy, nuts, and some types of shellfish.
